SHORT BIO

Egle Banyte is an award winning jewellery designer and maker based in West Tyrone, Ireland. Her work is inspired by her youth in Lithuania, Baltic tradition, Constructivism, and Northern European aesthetics. Egle's work is handcrafted using traditional techniques and materials, yet manifesting a contemporary style.

In 2018, Egle was awarded a Goldsmiths’ Company Precious Metal Grant; the New Designers Goldsmiths’ Company Jewellery Award; and a Future Makers Award by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland. In 2019, she was awarded the RDS Craft Award.
